A Dramatic Turn of Events Tour, also colloquially referred to as A Dramatic Tour Of Events, is a current tour by the progressive metal band Dream Theater promoting their 11th studio album of the same name.[1] It's their first tour with new drummer Mike Mangini, who replaced Mike Portnoy after his departure from the band in September 2010. The tour began July 4, 2011 in Rome, Italy and is planned to extend into North and South America, Oceania, Asia and a second European leg in 2012.[2]
On August 1st, 2011, Dream Theater's current label, Roadrunner Records, announced new tour dates for their North American Tour. They will be touring with the American metalcore band, Trivium, who is from the same label. They will appear on most of the dates.[3]
